How to get an Iran airport visa

To begin your process of obtaining an Iran visa on arrival, follow these simple steps: 

  1. Complete the online visa application form: The first step is to fill out the online visa application form. Provide accurate and complete information as requested. In this stage you must choose on of the Iranian airports as your visa collection / issue place. 
  2. Payment of service fee: After submitting your application, you will need to pay the service fee. Once the payment is made, rest assured as we will take care of the necessary paperwork on your behalf.
  3. Authorization code from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA): Following the payment, we will proceed to acquire an authorization code from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on your behalf. This process may take a few days. Once the authorization code is obtained, you will receive the visa grant notice.
  4. Collection of the visa at the airport: At this stage, you are ready to collect your visa at the airport. 

Requirements for Iran visa on arrival

To obtain an Iran visa on arrival, you need to present the following documents at the airport:

  • Iran visa grant notice
  • Passport with at least 6 months validity
  • Iran travel insurance

Processing time for Iran airport visa

The Iran visa grant notice typically takes about 7 to 10 working days to be issued. However, the visa collection process at the airport is quick and usually takes only around 15 minutes.

How to obtain an Iran visa at the airport?

A couple of days after submitting your visa application, you will receive a visa grant notice. At this stage, everything is ready for you to obtain the visa at the airport. Simply bring a printed copy of the Grant Notice and your passport to the visa section of the airport. The entire process can be completed in less than 15 minutes.

How much does an Iran airport visa cost?

Visa service fee:

The visa service fee varies depending on the type of visa you require, such as a tourist visa, business visa, or medical visa. The visa application fee should be paid when submitting your application.

 

Visa stamp fee:

The visa stamp fee depends on the applicant’s nationality, ranging from 25 to 150 euros. Please note that visa fees are non-refundable. It’s important to remember that fees are collected in cash, either in Euros or Dollars.

Is travel insurance mandatory for obtaining an airport visa?

Travel insurance is a requirement for entering Iran. While it is not necessary during the Iran visa application process, it is important to have travel insurance when collecting your Iran visa on arrival at the airport.

Is it possible to get an Iranian visa at land borders?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to obtain an Iranian visa at the land borders. Visa on arrival is only available at designated international airports in Iran.
