Our knowledgeable guide will meet you at your hotel in Shiraz and escort you to the first stop of the day, the ancient capital of the Achaemenid Empire, Persepolis. Marvel at the impressive ruins, including the massive columns, intricate carvings, and grand staircases while learning about the history of the Persian Empire.
Next, we'll visit Naghsh-e Rostam, an ancient necropolis located only a few kilometers from Persepolis. Admire the stunning rock-cut tombs of Persian kings, including Darius I, Xerxes I, and Artaxerxes I, and learn about the fascinating history of the Persian Empire.
We'll then take a break for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can sample some of the delicious Persian cuisine.
