This 14-day tour takes you on a journey through some of the most enchanting landscapes of Iran. Starting in Tehran, you will visit historic cities, explore stunning deserts, admire Persian architecture, and experience the traditional hospitality of Iranian people. Highlights include visits to Kashan, Isfahan, Yazd, Kerman, and Shiraz, where you will see some of the most beautiful Islamic architecture in the world, ancient Zoroastrian heritage sites, and impressive desert landscapes.
Upon arrival at Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA), our guide will be waiting to take you directly to the hotel.
Overnight: Tehran
After breakfast, we will embark on our first discovery tour. From the comfort of our car, we will take in the sights of magnificently decorated palaces, glittering mosques, old bazaars, modern high-rise buildings, and shopping centers. Our itinerary includes visits to the following attractions:
We will start the day at the Iran National Museum on 30-Tir historical street, followed by a visit to the main part of the Golestan Palace. At lunchtime, we will explore the bustling Tehran Grand Bazaar before visiting the Crown Jewel Museum in downtown Tehran. In the early evening, we will return to our hotel.
Overnight: Tehran
Today, we will travel to the beautiful city of Kashan, which is less than three hours away. Our itinerary for the day includes visits to the following attractions:
We will start with a visit to Tabatabai House, which was built by a carpet dealer in the 19th century and inhabited by the influential Tabatabai family. We will then spend some time in the shady grounds of the national cultural heritage site, Fin Garden. Afterward, we will visit Aqabozorg Mosque and School, as well as the Kashan Traditional Bazaar.
Overnight: Kashan
After breakfast, we will depart for Nain and visit the impressive Friday Mosque on the edge of the central desert. We will then continue to Yazd desert camps for a half-day desert excursion. In the evening, we will arrive at our hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening.
Overnight: Yazd
Yazd is known for its rich cultural heritage and is home to many adherents of the Zoroastrian faith, which was founded hundreds of years before Christianity. Today, our itinerary includes visits to the following attractions:
We will start the day with a visit to the Tower of Silence, which was used by Zoroastrians for the burial of the dead. From this complex, we will enjoy stunning views of the mud brick city. We will then visit the magnificent Fire Temple of the Zoroastrians and the Dowlatabad Garden with its impressive wind towers. At lunchtime, we will find a bakery where we can try the famous Yazd cake specialties (optional). We will end the day with a visit to the Fahadan District, known for its impressive mud brick architecture. The best view of the old mud brick city is best enjoyed from the rooftop of Café Honar.
Overnight: Yazd
After breakfast, we will drive to Kerman and explore the center of this historic trading town on foot. Kerman is famous for its desert architecture, which features wind towers and long halls in the Ganjali Khan complex. Our itinerary for the day includes visits to the following attractions:
We'll take a stroll through the bazaar, visit the bath house, the school, and the Caravanserai. There is also a traditional restaurant in an old bath house that invites you to take a break and enjoy some refreshments.
Overnight: Kerman
Today, we'll start early and head to the edge of the Lut desert. After driving through the mountainous landscape east of Kerman for about one and a half hours, we'll reach the lower desert areas. Our itinerary includes visits to the following attractions:
Shahdad is the last inhabited town on the edge of the desert, and we'll explore its unique features before continuing on to the Lut desert. Kilometer-long rock formations known as Kaluts are arranged in parallel lines and make the desert almost invincible. We'll stop near the Kaluts and take a little walk between the rocks before heading back to Rayen to visit the clay citadel. Our tour guide will explain the special desert architecture during the tour. After this visit, we'll continue to Mahan, where we'll stroll through the Baq-e Shahzadeh (Prince's Garden) and enjoy the benefits of Persian garden architecture, which offers refreshment in the desert climate with fountains and watercourses. We'll then take a short bus ride to the mausoleum of Shah Nematollah Val8, a famous Iranian Sufi master and poet. Finally, we'll return to our hotel in Kerman in the evening.
Overnight: Kerman
We'll wake up early today to make our way to Shiraz. Today we will visit the following attractions on our way:
After around five hours, we'll reach our first destination, Neyriz, and then proceed toward Maharloo Salt Lake. This seasonal salt lake is located about an hour away from Shiraz and has a dominant pink hue because of the amount of red tide in it. We'll reach our hotel in the evening.

Today, we'll explore Shiraz on foot and by car. Our itinerary for the day includes visits to the following attractions:
We'll visit the Nasir-al molk Mosque, also known as the “Pink Mosque”, and then walk to Vakil bazaar and Saraye Moshir to see a wide range of Persian carpets, spices, and gold jewelry. We'll walk across the bazaar to the Karim Khan Citadel, which we can admire from the outside. After lunch, we'll visit Ali Ebn-e-Hamzah Shrine, which impresses us with its mirrored vault. In the afternoon, we'll walk in the footsteps of the local poet Hafiz in Hafeziye and through the Eram garden. Tonight, you'll have a family dinner with an Iranian family to become familiar with Iranian culture and cooking. You will experience different traditional main courses, beverages, and sweets.
Overnight: Shiraz
Today, we'll hit the road to enjoy a daily excursion with Nomad tribes. We'll proceed toward Sepidan and enjoy visiting the beautiful scenery of Oak and grape trees along the way. We'll meet the Nomads around noon and have lunch with them. Then we'll participate in their daily activities like sheepherding, farming, ranching, and handcrafts production. Their products include rice, wheat, beans, apple, peach, yogurt, butter, dough, and curd. Their handicrafts consist of carpet and rug weaving. We'll have plenty of time to enjoy the spectacular surroundings and then return to Shiraz at the end of the day.
Overnight: Shiraz
Today, we'll say goodbye to Shiraz and head to our next destination. On the way to Isfahan we will visit the following attractions:
Our first stop will be Persepolis, where we'll marvel at columns and reliefs over 2,500 years old that testify to the power and wealth of the Achaemenid rulers. Our guide will take us to the Spring Palace and the Necropolis (Naqsh-e Rostam), where we can admire the rock tombs of the Achaemenid kings. Around noon, we'll reachPasargadae, where we'll see the tomb of Cyrus the Great, the founder of the Persian Empire. After exploring these UNESCO World Heritage sites, we'll continue our journey to Isfahan and arrive at our hotel in the evening.
Overnight: Isfahan
Today, we'll explore the city of Isfahan, which is often referred to as the "Pearl of Iran". In Isfahan we will visit:
We'll start with Naqsh-e Jahan Square, one of the largest squares in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. We'll visit the Imam Mosque, the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, and the Ali Qapu Palace, all located on this square. After lunch, we'll visit the Chehel Sotoun Palace, which is famous for its beautiful frescoes and mirror work. We'll also have the opportunity to stroll through the traditional bazaar and interact with the locals. In the evening, we'll enjoy a boat ride on the Zayandeh Rud River, which runs through the heart of the city.
Overnight: Isfahan
Today, we will continue our city tour in Isfahan to visit the following attractions:
First we'll visit the Jameh Mosque, another UNESCO World Heritage site, which is one of the oldest mosques in Iran and an excellent example of Islamic architecture. We'll then head to the Armenian Quarter and visit the Vank Cathedral, which is a stunning example of Armenian architecture and art. After lunch, we'll visit the Music Museum, which showcases traditional Iranian musical instruments. In the evening we meet again to visit Zayandeh River, where we want to stroll along the 33-arch (Siosepol bridge) and the Khaju bridge. Then we spread blankets on the shore and picnic next to Iranian families.
Overnight: Isfahan
Today we will hit the road toward Imam Khomeini airport. On the way we will visit:
After approximately one hour of driving, we will reach the charming village of Abyaneh, situated at the base of the Karkas mountain, which has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In Abyaneh, visitors can experience rich cultural traditions that have been preserved throughout centuries, such as the colorful dresses worn by the local women and the use of an old dialect. The mud structures blend harmoniously with the rocky terrain and create a picturesque scene. We will enjoy a leisurely walk (approximately one hour, easy) amidst the peaceful atmosphere of the village and savor a delicious lunch at the stunning panoramic terrace of the Hotel Viuna. As we still have about 280 kilometers to cover, we will arrive at Imam Khomeini Airport in the evening, bidding farewell to the unforgettable journey we had in Iran.
