Many years before choosing Tehran as the capital of Iran, Tahmasp I, the Safavid king, built the citadel of Tehran.   • Niavaran Complex

The last important event occurred in the Golestan Palace was coronation of the founder of the Pahlavi dynasty, Reza Shah. Afterwards, Pahlavis built their own palace “Niavaran” in a big garden in the north of Tehran, and the Golestan Palace was used for some formal royal receptions.

The tower was built by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi to commemorate the 2500th year of the foundation of the Imperial State of Iran. It also has a museum underground as a tourist attraction.

The Milad Tower is the highest building of Iran. The tower is a multi-purpose tower with some luxury restaurants and cafés, a five-star hotel, a trade center, museum, and cinema.
